The community of communes of Decazeville will soon begin work to restructure its drinking water network in the Pélaubes sector, between Aubin and Decazeville. The objective: to rationalize the operation of these dilapidated infrastructures. The two existing reservoirs, which supply the sectors of Forcefaves, Bonissard, Vialarels, Miramont, Croix de Broual, Pelaubes, La Tardivie and Canteser, should thus be replaced by a new one, an 8 meter diameter semi-buried tank with a total volume of 150 m3, with the construction of a supply network connected to the peripheral networks.
Commissioning planned for the end of the year
Access to the new site, at a place called Pelaubes on the heights of Decazeville, will be via a municipal road which will have to be redeveloped before the start of the work to allow the passage of machinery and the supply of the site. The cost of the work is estimated at €678,720 including tax and should begin with earthworks in May, weather permitting.
Construction of the facilities is scheduled for early June for commissioning at the end of 2024.
This work will have no impact on the water supply of residents in the area.
A site meeting took place this Tuesday, in the rain, with the Capraro company in charge of the construction of the reservoir and the SCT Caville company, subcontractor in charge of the earthworks. The owner of the land, Roquefort Cédric, who agreed to transfer part of it to the Community of Communes for the realization of this “public interest” development was also present alongside the mayor of Aubin Christine Teulier, of the general director of community services Pauline Choinet and Franck Péchoultres, head of the environment department.
