Another arrest of a drug trafficker linked to the Blood Family Mafia in Sept-Îles

The Sept-Îles joint investigation team of the SQ and the SPUM arrested a man in Sept-Îles this Thursday morning in connection with drug trafficking. The police searched a residence on rue des Bruyères. Investigators presume that he is linked to the BFM, currently in a war for control against the Hells Angels, confirms Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu, spokesperson for the mixed team.

This is a third arrest this week in connection with organized crime in the region. The 22-year-old suspect arrested today was released. He will appear later on charges of receiving stolen goods and drug trafficking.

Investigators seized nearly 30 grams of cocaine, around thirty magic mushroom capsules, cell phones and more than $12,000. Investigators also seized his vehicle, a 2021 Honda Civic, as illegal property.

The Sept-Îles mixed investigation team, formed in February 2024, is made up of five police officers from the Sûreté du Québec and Uashat Mak Mani-Utenam Public Security. The public is invited to contribute to the fight against drug trafficking by providing any relevant information to the SQ Central at 1 800 659-4264.
