The former head of state of Senegal, also special envoy for the Paris pact, Macky Sall made an analysis of the international financial system for its lack of responsiveness to the needs of developing countries. According to Macky Sall, “this system is biased against developing nations like Senegal”. Thus, he proposes substantial reforms to make global finance more equitable.
According to Macky Sall, multilateralism is the best solution. “Reflecting on my presidency, it is evident that the global financial system is biased against developing nations like Senegal. Inclusive multilateralism is our way forward. By uniting countries from all continents, we can overcome global divisions and work collectively for a fair financial system. Proud to serve as special envoy and to work with President Emamanuel Macron for the Paris Pact which prioritizes people and the planet,” he explained on his X account.
