The Council of State has validated the operating permit for a mega-basin in Rom in southern Deux-Sèvres. Meanwhile, a large demonstration is planned for Saturday May 11 in Puy-de-Dôme against the construction of two “gigabassines”.

The New Republic of Center-West Vienne announces that the Council of State has definitively validated the project of the anonymous cooperative water management company (Scage) of Dive Bouleure Clain Amont whose operating permit had been granted by the prefects of Vienne and Deux-Sèvres in March 2017.
In Deux-Sèvres, only the commune of Rom is affected. The other municipalities concerned, Chaunay, Saint-Sauvant, Brux, Payré and Ceaux-en-Couhé are located in Vienne.
