“Canadian talents shine at Cannes”said Julie RoyGeneral Director and CEO of Telefilm Canada. “This year’s exceptional representation reflects the artistic excellence of a variety of talents, from the most experienced to emerging, and the tremendous diversity of the stories they tell us, in all their forms. This is what characterizes our national cinematography which shines and captivates a global audience. It also demonstrates the growing interest of other countries to collaborate with Canada. It’s really stimulating to see this openness to working together which strengthens our cultural and creative ties while enriching our international film scene! »

In addition to the Cannes Film Festival, the large Canadian delegation will also participate in the Film Market (which will present 27 Canadian productions) to play a key role as a project leader. This active participation will allow Canadian cinema professionals to build relationships with potential partners, develop new projects and explore opportunities for collaboration on an international scale. This approach reflects Canada’s desire to promote its film industry and strengthen its ties with the global film community.
