Just like the collection around the archives of Gers rugby in 2021, this action – part of the national collection operation coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and labeled Cultural Olympiad Paris 2024 – is aimed at the world of sport as a whole . This concerns the archives produced by departmental committees and sports clubs whatever their discipline (being in the structure or having been kept by a former manager), but also those of athletes, coaches and all professions revolving around sport which can represent real historical interest. Citizens, amateur practitioners, volunteers, supporters, photographers, etc., are also invited to look into their own archives to participate in the history of sport in the Gers by lending or donating these documents.
Posters, films, photographs, associative documents (minutes of boards of directors, general meetings, etc.) linked to sporting events or sport in general in the Gers, will be collected by the team of the Departmental Archives (81 route of Pessan) without appointment from May 13 to 16.
