Fi’Jazz Festival in Figeac

With the success of past editions, the great adventure of the Figeac jazz festival continues for a 3rd edition until May 11. On the program on Friday May 10, 2024 at 5 p.m. at the Hôtel du Viguier du Roy Joshua Perez Trio, gypsy jazz concert. At 9 p.m. in the François Mitterrand room, Anne Paceo SHAMANES, winner of 3 Victoires de la Musique with her prolific discography (9 albums to her credit). Saturday May 11 at 10:30 a.m. on the Figeac market and 2:30 p.m. in the town of Figeac: Les fanflures-brass band-parade. At 5 p.m. in the François Mitterrand RP3 room (Rémi Panossian Trio), modern jazzmen who have fun and put their dexterity and talent at the service of the very essence of music. At 9 p.m. in the François Mitterrand Charlotte Planchou Quartet room. It is in her image that she surrounds herself with musicians from her different groups to write and produce her first album “Petite” released in October 2021, an album unanimously praised by critics (Télérama, France Musique, FIP, l’ Open Jazz by Alex Dutilh, France 2, André Manoukian, France Musique, Le Figaro) and who accompanies the young artist on different stages…

Night of Lights 2nd edition in Autoire

The Autoire Festival Committee and CFX artifices have joined forces to offer a nighttime stroll punctuated by different light installations. Visitors will be able to stroll from the Chapelle Saint-Roch to the Autoire waterfall to discover the light installations.

The Night of Lights takes place in the parking lot of the Saint-Roch chapel with the possibility of catering from 8 p.m. The first spectator-walkers are expected at nightfall around 9 p.m. until 11 p.m., allowing arrivals to be spread out. Lamps provided

Regional amateur theater festival in Cahors

For its 30th anniversary edition, the Cahors Regional Amateur Theater Festival returns to the theater for a long weekend with ten plays, nine of which are presented by amateur companies. The two pieces presented at the opening and closing are out of competition. To close, the only professional company of the 2024 festival, Cie Plume Pourpre, will present its new show “The Keykeepers, feet in the stars” on Saturday May 11 at 9 p.m. Also see Friday May 10: at 5 p.m., “Doubt” (drama); at 9 p.m., “Le repas des fauves” (drama) and Saturday May 11: at 2 p.m., “My friend Roger” (poetic comedy); at 5 p.m., “The dress”, creation from the text by Kathrine L. Battaiellie. Aperitif concerts are organized on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Theater.

Return of the Plantez-la festival in Assier

The “Plant là” festival which puts music, circus and street arts in the spotlight in Assier is back. Rémi Luchez and Mathilde Menand share their artistic sensitivity with the public around contemporary circus. In a desire to be accessible to as many people as possible, the price of show tickets is deliberately low. The program includes shows at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, and at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday.

First donkey festival in Luzech

The Luzech donkey friends association is organizing the “donkey party” for the first time to promote the professions and activities that revolve around our donkey friends. On the program Friday May 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. stroll in a flower parade with donkeys in the streets of the city. Saturday from 8:30 a.m. producers’ and artisans’ market and garage sales (registration on 06 81 28 77 12), 10 a.m. treasure hunt 4 km through the vineyard, fair for children, 12:30 p.m. paella meal (€14 registration required 06 83 99 56 23), 2 p.m. presentation of donkeys for the competition for the most beautiful donkey or donkey, 2:30 p.m. donkey rides, horse-drawn carriages, plowing demonstrations, farrier demonstrations, donkey drivers’ associations and unions, 8:30 p.m. festive meal. Sunday May 12 from 9 a.m. producers’ and artisans’ market on Place du Canal, 11 a.m. prize giving: most beautiful donkey, winner of handling tests, winner of the treasure hunt.

Journey to the center of the earth in Padirac

In 1864, Jules Verne published his famous adventure novel, Journey to the Center of the Earth. To mark the 160th anniversary of its publication, the Gouffre de Padirac takes visitors into the world of books through an exceptional immersive show “Journey to the center of the earth, In search of Axel Lidenbrock”. It is the spring of 1899 and you are invited to the inauguration evening of the Gouffre de Padirac. Several distinguished guests were invited to the celebration, including the illustrious novelist Jules Verne. Axel Lidenbrock, went down alone into the Chasm and disappeared. Visitors will then go on a manhunt and descend to the center of the Earth to find him. Throughout their journey, visitors will meet the protagonists. With more than 14 actors and numerous extras.
