Hurricane Kirk will have consequences on the weather in Isère. The climatic conditions promise to be dire over a huge part of France, from this Monday, October 7, 2024.
Like around sixty departments, Isère is placed on yellow alert for a risk of violent winds this first day of the week, by Météo France.
Thunderstorms will arrive in the Rhône valley and the Vercors massif from this Monday, early in the evening.
If this disturbance lingers until the end of the night and Tuesday morning in or near the Rhône valley, certain departments marked with yellow vigilance may be subject to a reassessment of the level of vigilance, depending on the evolution of the intensity of the heaviest precipitation and associated accumulations.
Three vigilances Tuesday
According to data from the official meteorology and climatology service in France, the department of Isère will be placed on yellow alert for a risk of violent winds, storms and floods, on Tuesday October 8.
If this disturbance lingers until the end of the night and Tuesday morning in or near the Rhône valley, certain departments marked with yellow vigilance may be subject to a reassessment of the level of vigilance, depending on the evolution of the intensity of the heaviest precipitation and associated accumulations.
The Isère sectors which should be more widely affected by precipitation are the north-Isère and the Oisans massif.
Near Grenoble, the first showers are expected from 11 p.m. tonight. Thunderstorms are forecast for Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A lull expected
Wednesday and Thursday will be marked by milder weather conditions.
Bright sunshine is forecast with a few showers possible locally.
