Maëva and Camille, two Agenaises from Tarn-et-Garonne, have given themselves the name “Garunneuses” and are going to compete in the Femina Adventure in the West Indies for the benefit of the League Against Cancer. They are looking for sponsors to support them in this sporting and solidarity adventure.

Friends since childhood, Maëva Paoletti and Camille Bouvier embarked on a sporting, supportive and human adventure, that of the Femina Adventure. In November 2024, they will fly to Guadeloupe to face other women’s teams during 5 days of racing. On the program: trail, kayak, swim & run, orienteering, sea swimming, canyoning. Originally from Dunes and Lamagistère and today Lot-et-Garonnaises, they decided to name their team “Les Garunneuses”, a contraction of the name of the river which borders their respective village (the Garonne) and “runner” which means “ runner” in English.

We are putting all our energy into it, and hope to raise as much funds as possible in order to donate the surplus to La Ligue contre le cancer.

The Garunneuses chose to run in the colors of La Ligue contre le Cancer du 47, whose values they share. “For several months, we have been looking for sponsors to help us finance our participation in the race. We are putting all our energy into it, and hope to raise as much funds as possible in order to donate the surplus to La Ligue contre le cancer,” explains Maëva.

They train through endurance preparation.

Their actions do not stop there. At Christmas, the two young Agenaises launched a sale of personalized Christmas baubles, which allowed them to make more than €1,000 in profits. “Today we are organizing a big raffle. For this, we canvass many traders in Lot-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne. We have already collected a lot of prizes and are continuing to canvass. We thank from the bottom of our hearts all those who offer us prizes,” comments Camille.

“Tickets are already on sale, write to us if you want them! “. In the meantime, the “Garunneuses” have opened an online pot for donations from individuals (link to the pot on their social networks) and are still looking for sponsors. Do not hesitate to write to them at [email protected].
