The departments of Lozère, Ardèche and will enter orange rain-flood vigilance from 10 p.m. Monday October 7, Météo- announced in its 6 a.m. bulletin.

“During the night from Monday to Tuesday, an active rain-storm episode will affect the Cévennes regions. The precipitation will be intense and could lead to accumulations of around a hundred millimeters in three to six hours. Over the episode (approximately twelve hours), it is expected from 150 to occasionally 200 millimeters » of rain, details the meteorological agency.

The end of the alert in these three southern departments is scheduled for Tuesday around 10 a.m., according to the public establishment. Météo-France evokes a deterioration “fairly large-scale and unusual for the month of October” over the country, from New Aquitaine to Centre-Val de to the north-eastern quarter. This type of episode is, however, not unusual in the Cévennes regions, underlines the forecaster.
