Denain (North) will welcome Amazon, and this is good news for the region! Mayor Anne-Lise Dufour-Tonini announced thearrival of several hundred jobs on the old industrial wasteland of Usinor, without giving a precise date. To be continued.

An emblematic witness to a significant industrial past of the territory, a new chapter opens for the White Stones, an industrial wasteland former bastion of Usinor.

On the same site, Lesaffre and a business village soon

This site has high economic potential, with the announced arrival of Lesaffre at the end of 2024, the opening of the A21 interchange, the installation of a new business village (in a few weeks), the installation of Verso Energy (renewable energy player), and a planned commercial and leisure zone. It is now Amazon which is the future inhabitant of this site. These are 100,000 m² which concern this project.

Several hundred local jobs are expected, as announced by Mayor Anne-Lise Dufour-Tonini.

The City of Denain has been preparing the requalification of Usinor for 10 years, with €15 million since 2013 to transform this wasteland.

The story of this industrial reconquest of the remains of Usinor will continue with the planned requalification of the premium business park “des Soufflantes” in Escaudain, labeled “turnkey site France 2030”, selected by the state among 55 sites on a national level.
