The European elections will take place on June 9. One month before the deadline, there are currently seven Dromardéchois in the lists already presented. The vote to elect the European Parliament has its particularities : to obtain seats, the candidate list must obtain at least 5% of the votes. Once this step has been completed, the seats are distributed proportionally, therefore according to the number of votes. Hence the importance of the positioning of a candidate on the 81 names included in the lists.
The Drôme Pierre Jouvet, number 2 of the Socialist Party and mayor of Saint-Vallier, is in third position on the Socialist Party / Public Square list led by Raphaël Glucksmann. Due to his very high position in the list, he is the local candidate most likely to soon become a Member of the European Parliament.
The Ardéchois Ambroise Méjeanpresident of Youth with Macron and former candidate for the legislative elections in the Rhône, appears in 20th position on the list of the presidential majority behind Valérie Hayer, therefore potentially eligible depending on the number of votes obtained.
The Romanian Insoumise activist Nadia Loyer occupies 25th place on the LFI list carried by Manon Aubry. Another Romanian candidate for the European elections, the former municipal councilor and departmental secretary of the Communist Party in Drôme Jean-Marc Durandin 53rd position on the communist list.
The Reconquest list behind Marion Maréchal has three Drôme candidates: the departmental delegate of the Zemmourist party Serge Lévy in 38th place, the former regional councilor and former boss of the local RN Laura Pellier in 69th place, and Evelyne Reybertthe mother of Julien Vinson killed during the Romans attack in 2020. Evelyne Reybert, who has never hidden her proximity to Eric Zemmour’s party, occupies the symbolic very last place on the list.
The complete list of Republicans, however, has not been revealed, nor that of the National Rally. The RN Ardèche regional councilor Céline Porquet should appear there.
