A long weekend often means an influx of traffic. To prevent risky behavior, bikers from the police brigade Melun had set up a road check, Wednesday May 8, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on the N4to the height of Tournan-en-Brietowards Paris.
And the gendarmes were not idle, with 18 fines, including 12 speeding violations below 40 km/h, driving under the influence of drugs – which led to the driver’s license being withheld and the vehicle being immobilized. vehicle- and 5 speeding violations above 40 km/h.
6 licenses withdrawn
Among these five offenses, the day’s record is 139 km/h for 90 km/h at this location, two other drivers having been checked at 131 and 132 km/h, and, finally, two motorcyclists who were following each other were intercepted at 135 km/h!
The licenses of these five drivers were withdrawn on the spot, pending the court’s verdict.
