The Remontées Mécaniques Alpes Fribourgeoises (RMAF) association held a press point this Wednesday to present the results of the 2023-2024 winter season. Unsurprisingly, the canton’s stations suffered from bad weather conditions. “The number of days open impacts attendance with a drop in attendance (35%) and a drop in turnover (29%),” note the RMAF in a press release. “The month of February, important for the Pre-Alps because of the holidays, was one of the worst in history.”

Most resorts thus launched their summer season early, like Moléson and Charmey. The latter did not close between the winter and summer seasons. A rapid opening which “could contribute to improving the annual result”, estimate the RMAF.

Bellegarde and Lac Noir reopen this Thursday, while to take advantage of the La Berra facilities, you will have to wait until the 1ster July, wildlife protection measures required.
