The survey carried out by telephone calls among 600 Gatineau residents by the firm Segma on behalf of 104.7 FM takes place at the very start of the electoral campaign. It tends to demonstrate that the June 9 by-election could turn into a two-person race between Ms. Marquis-Bissonnette and the former mayor of Gatineau, Yves Ducharme.

The leader of Action Gatineau receives 38% of voting intentions, while her closest rival, Yves Ducharme, receives 27% of voting intentions.

If the trend continues, candidate Olive Kamanyana (13%) and candidate Stéphane Bisson (12%) will have to fight to reach the threshold of 15% of the votes which allows their electoral expenses to be reimbursed. The former communications director of France Bélisle, Daniel Feeny, visibly suffers from a lack of notoriety. He only received 7% of voting intentions. Candidates Mathieu Saint-Jean (3%) and Rémi Bergeron (0%) bring up the rear.

The Segma survey on behalf of 104.7 FM was carried out between April 29 and May 2. The margin of error is 4%.
