The prefecture of Maine-et-Loire issued a decree on Tuesday May 7 to prohibit the holding of free parties in the department. It took effect Tuesday evening and lasts until Monday noon.

The prefecture of Maine-et-Loire issued a decree on Tuesday May 7 to prohibit the holding of free parties in the department. “Festive gatherings of a musical nature such as rave parties and the circulation of any vehicle transporting sound equipment likely to be used for an unauthorized event are prohibited throughout the department,” specifies the decree in force since Tuesday at 8 p.m. and until Monday, May 13 at noon.

Guarantee public order

This measure aims “to prevent any risk of harm to public order and public tranquility as well as to guarantee health and road safety that an unauthorized gathering of numerous people is likely to compromise” indicate the services of the ‘State.
