Dakar, May 7 (Aps) – Culture will be highlighted during the 24th edition of the flag of the Head of State scheduled for May 9 to 12, in Mbour, indicated the president of the National Committee for Management of the Struggle (CNG), Ibrahima Sène.
“We are in the preparatory phase for the 24th edition of the Head of State’s flag. We are on the home stretch. This year, we decided to promote culture, because we have a Minister of the Republic in charge of Youth, Sports and Culture,” he explained.
These are the “three elements” constituting Senegalese wrestling, recalled the president of the CNG, emphasizing the desire of his structure to promote not only culture, but also sports.
Each region of the country will be represented by five wrestlers in individual and team wrestling.
“At the local level too, we have a partner who will support us with sound and light (Éric Favre). The rest will be the actors of wrestling and culture who will achieve what we have planned in terms of sports and culture. On the first day, there will be a parade of those involved in the struggle to launch hostilities,” he announced.
