The flame will then take the direction of Chalons Champagne. The prefectural city will also have the chance to see the Paralympic flame and to welcome it as a stopover city on August 26. The fire of Olympe will then head towards Argonne, at Sainte-Menehould. A parade will be organized from Place d’Austerlitz to the town hall, where each participant will be able to parade with a sign to illustrate their association. The final idea is to design a tifo to welcome the flame.
The Olympic torch will then take the direction ofEpernaywhere he will go up the prestigious avenue de Champagne, before joining Sézanne. The passage of the torch bearer through the medieval city is scheduled for 5:39 p.m.
The flame will then rally Reims, where it will pass through the Champagne park, the Saint Remi Basilica, the Auguste-Delaune stadium and Notre-Dame cathedral. The flame will finally be carried to the Porte de Mars square, where the lighting of the cauldron will take place at 7:20 p.m.
