The TC rejects the appeal of magnetizer Denis Vipret

Denis Vipret’s appeal trial opened this morning before the Cantonal Court in Fribourg. The trainer, known well beyond the borders of the canton, was sentenced last year to a fine of 2,000 francs for inconvenience caused by being confronted with a sexual act. According to the elements of the file, Broyard had caressed the stomach, the skin and the buttocks of a woman.

The magnetizer contests this judgment and requests his acquittal. He believes that several important elements were not taken into consideration in this case.

But the Cantonal Court rejected the magnetizer’s appeal at the end of the afternoon. The Court indeed considers that the police judge did not fall into arbitrariness in retaining the complainant’s version of the facts, thus confirming that the defendant made inappropriate actions, which did not have a therapeutic aim.

At the opening of the trial, Broyard’s lawyer requested a closed session, believing that the media coverage of this case will be detrimental to his client, regardless of the finality of the judgment. A request refused by the judges. The defense then asked for the latter to be challenged, considering that they were not impartial. A request, too, refused.
