This year, ‘Châteaux en fête’ highlighted the Périgord Vert. The so-called Gissoux estate, made up of a mansion from the beginning of the 19th century, took part in the event.

With the program, discovery walk, opening of artists’ workshops with volunteers from the association Les Amis du jardin d’Hélys.

Sunday April 28, to close the “Châteaux en fête” event, between music, literature and visual arts, the festivities were a huge success. Many friends, but also strangers, had taken the path to the garden of Hélys-‘uvre.

Many people attended the literary and musical afternoon in the palazzetto room.

Dominique Le Lan Tallet revealed her next novel “Une vie d’accordéon” to be published by Arka, by reading the foreword which pays homage to this atypical place, far from the beaten track.

The musical afternoon was electric with a glimpse of baroque music, a foray into French song with text, which led into the world of jazz: voices of Julie, Marie-Émilie and Guy, with Philippe on piano, Françoise on violin, Guy on guitar.

The afternoon ended with an outdoor snack accompanied by birdsong.
