Finally the end of the rain? The forecast for this week and Ascension weekend

The rain should give way to sunshine from the middle of the week, according to Météo-France forecasts. Quite warm temperatures are expected for the Ascension Bridge.

After the rain comes the good weather! In the coming days, the sky will gradually clear up, which suggests an almost summer-like Ascension weekend. The day of Tuesday May 7 will still be humid with maximums between 12 and 18°, except for the coast of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Corsica.

The sun will attempt to break through on Wednesday May 8, pushed by an anticyclone coming from the Atlantic. Météo-France predicts in particular 20°C in Paris, 19°C in Bourges or 19°C in Auxerre. Temperatures will nevertheless be cooler in Clermont-Ferrand and Aurillac, where 16°C and 11°C are respectively forecast.

Cloudy skies Friday

The rise in mercury is confirmed for Ascension Thursday. 20°C will be exceeded throughout the country, but clouds could however play spoilsport on the Breton and Normandy coasts.

A short-lived clearing since the clouds should, this time, cover all of France, Friday May 9. Temperatures will be mild: 23°C in Île-de-France, 24°C in Brest and Auxerre, 25°C in Limoges and even 26°C in the Rhône valley and 27°C at the foot of the Pyrenees.

And it’s a beautiful day on Saturday which should accompany you, from morning to evening, Saturday May 10, despite some discreet clouds in the east in the form of large sometimes threatening cumulus clouds, according to The Weather Channel.

Possible thunderstorms on Sunday

In the morning, it will be 9 to 15°C from the Alsace plain to the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, maximum temperatures will range from 20°C near the English Channel to 29°C near the Pyrenees, a summer level, but far from records however, details The Weather Channel.

The weather could start to change on Sunday May 12. The atmosphere will remain quite warm, but the sky should start to cloud over and sometimes become threatening in the afternoon. It will be heavy and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, scattered, rather from the southwest to the northwest as well as in the mountains.

Ascension Thursday falls the day after May 8 and it is extremely rare: the next time will be in 2086
