A 36-year-old alleged pimp, who allegedly took advantage of a teenage girl, was arrested by police and now faces serious criminal charges.
Serge Andre Exil Florestal was arrested last week in Laval by police officers from the Integrated Anti-Pimping Squad (EILP) of the Sûreté du Québec.
He appeared at the courthouse the next day on charges of procuring a person under the age of 18, sexual interference, producing child pornography and sexual assault.
The acts with which Exil Florestal is accused were allegedly committed over a period of four months, between last November and February.
According to authorities, the crimes took place in the cities of Gatineau and Laval.
“The investigation tends to demonstrate that the suspect could have had other victims and could have communicated with them via social networks,” EILP said in a statement.
