In Finistère, 80 industrial hectares are immediately available

The local partners of the Finistère Industry Territory program publish a map of free and developed land to accommodate economic and industrial activity. In total, 56 plots, which represent 80 hectares, are available across the department.

With carte blanche two years ago, the steering committee of the Territoire d’industrie Finistère program developed a detailed map of the land immediately available in the department to implement future industrial projects. Inspired by the initiative launched by the State – which recently identified the major industrial sites in France – the Finistère economic partners, guided by the UIMM, the CCIMBO and the Medef, approached the local authorities to identify the land for more than 5000 m², immediately available and located in industrial activity zones.

In total, 80 hectares are accessible to the various local authorities in Finistère. Poher community and Quimper western Brittany have the most available areas with each more than 15 hectares freed up. Concarneau Cornouaille agglomeration and the agglomeration community of Landerneau Daoulas are the most occupied territories on this first map.

Boost the attractiveness of Finistère

This inventory aims to encourage and facilitate the development or installation of economic activities; the idea being to hand over almost turnkey serviced land to interested entrepreneurs. In a context of scarcity and economic land planning, through the ZAN law, this initiative was designed and carried out to boost the attractiveness of Finistère”explains Solene Tard, Territoire d’industrie Finistère project manager. It is she who monitors land availability, carrying out two updates per year, in March and October, of this departmental map.I re-interview each intercommunity, owners and managers of these activity zones. »

Since its presentation a few weeks ago, the mapping has mainly been used, at the local level, for established Finistère companies carrying out a project to extend or develop their activity. “ The next step is to initiate a promotion process outside the territory aimed at new industrial prospects”underlines Solene Tard, who is today launching a first communication campaign.
