Moselle. Two men in car arrested after violently hitting two women on scooters

Two thirty-year-olds were taken into police custody on Saturday May 4, 2024 after a road accident. The driver and his passenger allegedly hit a scooter between Norroy-le-Veneur and Semécourt. They then fled. Two young women were seriously injured.

Two men aged 37 and 38 were arrested on Saturday May 4, 2024, a few hours after a serious road accident in Norroy-le-Veneur and Semécourt. In a car, they allegedly hit a scooter on which two young women were riding. They are suspected of involuntary injuries aggravated by hit-and-run and consumption of alcohol, and failure to assist a person in danger, specifies France Blue Lorraine North .

Thirties were drunk

Aged 22 and 24, the two young women on the scooter were seriously injured. The driver was between life and death when she was taken into care at Nancy hospital, specifies The Lorraine Republican . They were still hospitalized on Sunday May 5, late in the afternoon.

The two suspects stopped before fleeing. They were found in front of the driver’s home, in a neighboring town. According to France Blue, the thirty-year-olds were drunk when they were arrested. The Maizières-lès-Metz gendarmerie brigade is in charge of the investigation.
