Review: Air Canada B787-8 Business Class | Toronto – Vienna

Using Aeroplan points to obtain a Business Class seat on a transatlantic flight between Eastern Canada and Europe is, in my opinion, the best compromise between an ambitious reward and an easily achievable reward.

This is all the more true for going to Europe than for returning, because the advantage of having an armchair that transforms into a bed is undeniable, especially if you want to arrive at your destination rested and thus be able to better enjoy your first day.

For the return to Canada, since the journey is a day flight, a Privilege Economy Class ticket may prove to be an interesting and sufficient option.

The only downside to the trip was the delay at the Toronto airport, but the flight itself was very pleasant and relaxing. I even appreciated the fact of having a slightly longer route, Toronto-Vienna, than the slightly shorter classic route, Montreal-Paris, in order to have a little more time to sleep.

An option to consider, for an upcoming ski trip to Europe, would be to book Business Class seats with Swiss on a flight from Toronto (or Montreal) to Zurich to take advantage of the Swiss Lounge on arrival and one of their private bedrooms. This is really the only advantage of a Business Class ticket that I was not able to have when arriving in Vienna with Air Canada.
