The Vaudois Socialist Party met in an ordinary Congress on Saturday afternoon in the Lavigny multipurpose room. The approximately 200 delegates present were called upon to renew the party’s actions. What the comrades did, without really renewing them. Thus, President Romain Pilloud was reappointed for a second term at the head of the party. The Montreusian was the only candidate for his succession.

The four vice-presidents, Virginie Pilault, Thanh-My Tran-Nhu, Alexandre Démétriadès and Sébastien Pedroli are also leaving for a tour. On the other hand, half of the fifteen elected members of the steering committee are new faces.

During this Congress, delegates also supported the Palestinian cause. They largely voted for the Socialist Youth resolution to support the mobilization on the UNIL campus which calls for an immediate ceasefire in .
