“It is time for me to give up my place to someone who has the necessary energy,” declared the communications coordinator of the national office of political training, Gabrielle Brais-Harvey, in a long message published on her Facebook page.

TVA Nouvelles also obtained confirmation of the resignation of the head of the Québec solidaire mobilization platform, Keena Grégoire.

The announcements come as the female co-spokesperson tendered her resignation in a letter posted Monday on Facebook.

  • Listen to the interview with Monsef Derraji, MP for Nelligan for the Liberal Party, where he comments on the crisis that QS is experiencing via QUB :

Émilise Lessard-Therrien said she was “completely exhausted” four months after her election as co-spokesperson.

The solidarity MP raised a clash between “the different visions” which animate the leftist sovereignist party.

Since then, Christine Labrie has taken over the role of interim female co-spokesperson.

The resignation of Ms. Lessard-Therrien had also sparked numerous reactions in the political class.

Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, the first targeted by this event, said he “regretted” “not having seen it coming”.

In response to this crisis, the male co-spokesperson has made numerous public outings to reaffirm the intentions of the party he represents.

Among other things, he mentioned his intentions to make Québec solidaire “a government party.”
