This hike near Décines-Charpieu perfectly combines urban planning and nature. It will allow you to explore the banks of the Jonage canal as well as the main sports and energy infrastructures of the Lyon metropolitan area. Departure is from the car park opposite the restaurant La Passerelle Indienne, highly recommended by internet users. Then take the left bank of the Jonage canal, crossing Rue de la Fraternité. Follow the path, paying attention to cyclists, with the OL Groupama Stadium in sight. Go around it to the left before passing under the Sucrerie bridge, leading towards Vaulx-en-Velin. Continue along the racecourse in the Carré de Soie district, to the Cusset hydroelectric power station and the Astroballe, home of ASVEL. Cross to the right bank via the Cusset bridge, then continue to the Nelson Mandela suspended footbridge.
