Even if it will surely have been a Source of frustration given the equalizer conceded late, the point reported from the Parc des Princes (3-3) last Saturday still allows the HAC to be out of the red zone when entering his 32nd day of League 1. An important fact which can weigh in the balance when welcoming a team from Strasbourg (13th) whose retention in the elite is on very good track. Before the meeting, the Le Havre coach, Luka Elsnerspoke at a press conference about the keys to the match.

The meeting against Strasbourg

Even in Paris, we had no choice, that’s why we played that way too. There is no longer a joker match, a match where we can go back and say that maybe it will happen without us being there. We must be present at the motivational level, the energy level and what will be deployed on the stadium to achieve our objective […] We must do absolutely everything to make our meeting a success. […] Strasbourg is a talented team, which could perhaps play relaxed. And this is certainly something that can enhance a workforce that still has skills. It’s up to us to oppose that the absolute desire of an entire club to remain in Ligue 1. And in this aspect, we must be able to put ourselves at the highest possible level. »

What are the keys to winning?

It will depend on the people of Strasbourg, there is always an opponent. They are capable of keeping the ball or playing in transition, in any case we must show great rigor and exploit each of the balls that we are going to recover, a bit like we succeeded very well in Paris. Do a lot with the balls we will have to play. Whether there will be many or few, ultimately it doesn’t matter. »

His nomination for the UNFP trophies

It is above all a recognition for the whole group. I think that the coaches perceived the effort that was made on our side in this difficult situation which is that of a rise and a desire to maintain ourselves. If it can give confidence to the whole group, I am very happy, and I am certainly very touched by this nomination. Surprising, certainly, but in any case I am very touched and I take it with great humility. »
