Entitled “What beautiful faces! new works”, this new temporary exhibition presents around a hundred works created between 1968 and 2019.

The museum thus thanks its donors by exhibiting recently acquired works with the common denominator, that of the portrait.

Faces and even bodies are highlighted in these creations which belong to contemporary art, photography and even street art.

And it is the portrait of the young singer Lio which appears on the exhibition poster and the presentation documents. Anne-Claire Laronde, director of the Calais museums.

Several works of street art are also on display, which delights the museum director, Anne-Claire Laronde.

This new exhibition also means the return of temporary exhibitions to the museum. Anne-Claire Laronde.

A large series of black and white portraits of Calais schoolchildren is presented in the large room.

Comments collected at the RADIO 6 microphone of Priscilla Vandeville. The exhibition is visible free of charge until November 3. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Entrance to the museum is free.
