Yesterday, shortly before 11 a.m., the vice-captain of the Blues made his international retirement official via a video published on his social networks. “I leave the France team with a deep feeling of pride and gratitude. I had the honor of representing our country, and the chance to experience extraordinary moments like becoming world champion.”declared the left-hander in particular. We will no longer see the third most capped player in the country’s history (137 caps, 44 goals) playing in Blue despite his continued sparkling form with his club Atlético de Madrid.
