Come on, this weekend, we’re doing the garden! Normally, the rainy days will be behind us and, what’s more, it’s the Floralies in Antibes. From May 3 to 20, the city celebrates spring with a plant fair, a bouquet competition, a seed exchange… In short, plant or vegetable garden aficionado, no need to dig to find the program, we have it already harvested for you!

Large plant and flower market

You dream of seeing Pré-des-pêcheurs covered in greenery. This will be the case… For a weekend. From May 3 to 5, the Plants, Flowers and Gardening Show will take place on the esplanade. Come and meet garden center professionals, who can give you advice. There will also be shrubs! Start this Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., then Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Entrance is free.

Bouquet competition

Who will make the most beautiful flower arrangement? On May 11 at Square Vilmorin, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., a bouquet competition will be organized for the beneficiaries of the various CCAS (Communal Social Action Centers). Registration is required with the CCAS in Antibes at 04.92.91.38.88. Good luck!

Thuret and Eilenroc villas open

On May 12, come and discover little-known plants in France and exotic trees in the 3.5 hectare botanical garden of Villa Thuret. Free visit from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or guided tour by registration at 04.97.21.42.60.

The famous and majestic Villa Eilenroc will also open its doors to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The opportunity to (re)discover its 11-hectare park of pine trees and roses in bloom, with a view of the billionaires’ bay…

The Estagnol springs

On Sunday May 19 and Monday May 20, free activities will enliven the Estagnol park from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.1). Come with your seedlings and vegetable plants to exchange with other enthusiasts during the plant and seed exchange, throughout the day. During this time, the little ones will be able to have fun on a tractor circuit, build a plant shed, do potting or create scents… There will also be horses from the Defend horse association, who will present the concept of “hippo-clearing”. So, does that appeal to you?
