The Anne-Veaute high school offers its professional Baccalaureate students and BTS apprentices internships abroad open to all and which enrich the students’ training.

Morocco, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Spain. The Anne-Veaute high school in Castres organizes internships abroad for its Bac pro students and BTS apprentices.

Virginie Chereau, international mobility referent at Greta-CFA Midi-Pyrénées Nord explains that in addition to the Anne-Veaute high school which has Eramsus + accreditation, other public actors are participating in this project. “First the logistics are managed by the CFA of the Toulouse academy and then Greta participates in financing internships for apprentices in addition to the OPCOs.”

Skills operators (OPCO) and Greta are French organizations responsible in particular for supporting professional training.

This year, three BTS orthoprosthetist students will go on an internship in Dublin for 1 month. The selection of students is done on a voluntary basis.

Sylvie Tabaczynsky, head of the Anne-Veaute high school, explains: “It’s really the motivation that counts, there was no selection to be made, the small number of volunteers means that it takes care of itself.”

The French company in which the apprentice is learning must then validate the foreign company. Once everything is chosen, the students only have to take care of their future accommodation. “We have to find it ourselves,” says Bastan Soria, a BTS student who will be leaving for Ireland in August. “I don’t have one yet but I’m on a few things.”

These internships are first and foremost an opportunity for students to enrich their training.

Bastan says: “I am already going to improve my English and from a professional point of view I will be able to work on prosthetics whereas in my company in France I only do orthotics”. The prosthesis replaces a limb while the orthosis will help a function, a joint or a limb.

Jordan Renaudineau is also going to Dublin this summer, but he does not have the same objectives as his friend: “I also want to improve my language level but above all in the future I plan to go and live abroad so I want to discover this what is the work there.”
