Organized twice a year by Grenoble Alpes Métropole, the Métrorando will take place this Sunday, May 5, departing from Vif (in front of the Gabriel-Ruard room, rue du 19-Mars). Participants are expected between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and will be able to take three circuits, of different length and difficulty.
▶ The short route (6 km, elevation gain of 200 m) is described as “very easy”, with an effective walking time of 1 hour 45 minutes.
▶ The medium route (11.5 km, elevation gain of 650 m) is intended for regular walkers. The actual walking time is estimated at 4 hours 30 minutes.
▶ Finally, the long route (15 km; elevation gain of 740 m) is aimed at good walkers, who should complete it in 5 hours 30 minutes. The circuits will take marked trails, in the towns of Vif and Gua (towards the Petit Brion for the short route, towards Les Fours for the medium one, and towards Genevray and Crozet for the long one). Hikers must obviously wear good shoes, bring warm, waterproof clothing, and bring a filled bottle (refreshment points are provided).
