This is what elected officials from the left party said Wednesday morning in the National Assembly.
The resignation on Monday of co-spokesperson Émilise Lessard-Therrien after only a few months in office caused a lot of commotion, because she mentioned the influence of the other co-spokesperson, Mr. Nadeau-Dubois , on the leadership of the party.
After taking a day of reflection on Tuesday, Mr. Nadeau-Dubois arrived at his caucus meeting on Wednesday morning flanked by his colleagues Manon Massé, Guillaume Cliche-Rivard and Alejandra Zaga-Mendez.
He said he wanted to meet with his caucus first before speaking to the press, but also asserted, “I feel better today.” »
In the press scrum, MP Andrés Fontecilla affirmed that no scenario has been ruled out.
“We have a lot of discussions, we discuss all the possibilities,” he said.
His colleague Alexandre Leduc, for his part, declared that the entire caucus supported Mr. Nadeau-Dubois.
