Unsurprisingly, the prize goes to Vizille estate. According to Isère attractiveness figures, the site located 20 minutes south of Grenoble is the most visited in the department in 2023.

The immense park notably houses a castle, also popular with visitors.

More than 800,000 entries

With more than 830,000 visitors in 2023, the Vizille estate has established itself as the flagship location for tourism in Isère.


When the sunny days appear, the inhabitants of the town rush into the paths of the park to take advantage of the freshness offered by the 100 hectare estate.

A place steeped in history

Built in the 17th century, the castle became a major site of the French Revolution following Tiles Day in Grenoble in 1788.

The States General of Dauphiné are also organized within its walls. Since 1862, it has been classified as a Historic Monument.

Nowadays, tourists can immerse themselves in the history of the department with the museum of the Revolution.

A top three with diversity

With just under 600,000 visitors in 2023, Walibi takes second place in the ranking. The Walibi-Rhône-Alpes amusement park (Isère), near Lyon, continues to appeal to young and old alike in search of thrills.

To complete the podium, an emblem of Isère: the Grenoble cable car. The Bubbles have attracted more than 300,000 people Last year.

In total, Isère attractiveness will count nearly 3.2 million tourists in the department in 2023.
