Matam, April 30 (APS) – Students Fatou Boury Ka and Aissata Kâ from Thiarene high school won the Miss Sciences and Miss Mathematics regional competitions respectively, according to a report made public Monday by the Matam academy inspection.

For the Miss Sceinces competition, Fatou Boury Kâ is followed by Amina Guèye from the Thiarene high school and Coumba Touré, a resident of the Soringo high school, in the commune of Ouro Sidy.

Dieynaba Baldé from the Middle School (CEM) of Sinthiou Garba and Coumba Thiongane from the CEM of Saré Liou came second and third respectively in the Miss Mathematics competition.

A document from the academy inspection specifies that the candidates for the regional Miss Science and Miss Mathematics competitions come from all the education and training inspections (IEF) of the IA of Matam.

There were a total of 31 students taking part in the competition, including 16 for the Miss Sciences competition and 15 for the Miss Mathematics competition, according to the minutes, which specify that there were four absences for the mathematics section.

Fatou Boury Kâ and Aissata Kâ, both students at Thiarene high school, will represent Matam AI in the national final stages of the said competition.
