Commonly called “route du bois des Caures”, between Vacherauville and Ville-devant-Chaumont, the D905 is a particularly busy and occasionally winding route. It was precisely in one of its very tight curves that an accident occurred this Tuesday, April 30, around 6 a.m., while the road was slightly wet.

Indeed, for reasons still unknown, a heavy goods vehicle traveling empty registered in Romania and a light vehicle driven by a Luxembourger collided. An impact which scattered numerous debris and threw the car below the roadway.
The motorist was slightly injured
On site, firefighters from Verdun, Fresnes-en-Woëvre and Dieue-sur-Meuse took care of the motorist whose condition did not cause concern. Slightly injured, he was transported to the Verdun hospital center. The truck driver was unhurt.
Supported by the Verdun motorized platoon, the gendarmes of the Verdun brigade community then regulated traffic on a road strewn with rubble, while waiting for the road complex to be repaired. They will now have to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
