What are these funny rounded gray containers that we find in the streets of Cahors?

Of funny containers gray and blue, rounded in shape, were installed in certain streets and squares in the city center of Cahors and in the Terre-Rouge district.

It is new bike shelterswhich allow you to park your bike safely security. Up to 5 bikes can fit there. These secure bicycle lockers are reserved for residents of Grand Cahors and accessible by subscription.

Several devices to facilitate bicycle parking in Cahors

To make it easier for residents of Cahors to park bicycles in town, the secure parking offer is expanding in the town center and in Terre Rouge.

Three secure bicycle shelters that can accommodate 5 bicycles each are now accessible for residents of Grand Cahors (upon proof): parking rue Camille-Desmoulins at the corner with avenue Jean-Lurçat (Terre-Rouge), rue Mascoutou, at the corner with rue Delmas (center -city, Badernes district), and rue Denis-Forestier (city center, near Place de Gaulle).

These secure bicycle lockers are reserved for residents of Grand Cahors, upon annual subscription (annual rate: €20/year + €20 deposit for the key which allows access to the locker. The subscription process is done with the Grand Cahors mobility service).

Secure bicycle garages at park and ride locations

Established in 3 park and ride areas in the city for several years, the secure garages can each accommodate around twenty bicycles and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by subscription. They are located at the SNCF train station, avenue Jean-Jaurès, at the Chartreux relay car park and at the Ludo-Rollès relay car park.

Subscriptions are for the day (€1) or the week (€5) via the La Ruche à vélo application, or even for the year. For the annual subscription, the procedure is done with the Grand Cahors mobility service at the rate of €25 for residents of Grand Cahors or €50 for residents outside Grand Cahors.

This service is free for SNCF subscribers and for students in Grand Cahors.
