For a definitive return to normal, we will have to wait. The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced, in a press release released Monday evening, that the A13 motorway will reopen on Saturday May 11, 2024. This reopening will initially take place in the Province- direction. It will only concern light vehicles, “provided that all safety conditions are met”.

The A13 motorway has been closed between Paris and Vaucresson since April 19 and the discovery of a crack in the roadway, near Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine). Since then, nearly 130,000 motorists have seen their daily journey disrupted.

In the Paris-Province direction, “heavier work” necessary

“The analyzes carried out today show that the work carried out outside the structure on a nearby work site is, according to the most probable hypothesis, the causes of this movement of the ground,” indicates the prefecture in its press release. According to our information, this is the construction site of the Grand Siècle museum in Saint-Cloud. It was during this project launched last October that the disaster occurred at the retaining wall.

“Without waiting for the final conclusions of the various expert assessments, additional backfilling work will be carried out in the coming days to reinforce the stability of the retaining wall,” specifies the prefecture. The reopening of the A13 motorway will therefore take place on Saturday May 11, only in the Paris Province direction and only for light vehicles.

In the direction of Paris Province, “heavier repair work is however necessary”, writes the prefecture in its press release without giving more details on their nature. “The study solutions are currently being studied and the reopening schedule will be specified later,” she concludes.
