The 4e Planton market, organized by the City of Lausanne in collaboration with the ProSpecieRara foundation, will be held on May 4 and 8 at Place de la Riponne. More than 5,000 locally grown organic seed pieces will be offered for sale. “The offer will be supplemented this year by strawberries of old varieties and Swiss native plants,” specifies a press release published Monday. Please note that the City of Lausanne is now an ambassador for the “Enfant de Mont-Calme” dwarf bean, and is thus committed to multiplying and disseminating this rare variety in order to ensure its protection and sustainability.” The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. both days.
