Two stores opened in April 2024 on Winston-Churchill and Victor-Hugo avenues. Good news for Tulle’s commercial activity.

Even if the mild temperatures of spring are slow to come, life is gradually returning to Tulle. Two new businesses opened in the city during the month of April 2024.

In an avenue Victor-Hugo not in the best shape, the French perfume chain Adopt opened its doors to customers on April 17 in part of the former Cache Cache premises. The products offered? Perfumes, cosmetics and even care.

premium Falling attendance, lowered curtains… Why is Avenue Victor-Hugo in Tulle suffering?

All in an “eco-responsible” approach, according to Audrey Flahaut, head of Adopt Tulle. “Our perfumes are 100% French,” she attests. In addition, the brand is involved in several “Colibri” programs, where Adopt supports, among others, local jasmine producers in India. » Customers also have the option of bringing back glass or plastic for recycling, entitling them to a discount for the next purchase. The perfumery is already off to a good start, with numerous visits, even between noon and two.

The least we can say is that Adopt received a good reception on Avenue Victor-Hugo. Customers were even “pleasantly surprised to see that we open continuously from Monday to Saturday,” reveals the store manager.

A new cheese factory near the station

A little further up, on avenue Winston-Churchill, Mélanie Charmes has set up her creamery, cheese shop and delicatessen Les Délices de Mel. The business takes the place of the former Ambiance Terroirs.

A former heavy goods vehicle driver, the store manager has undergone a professional change. Satisfied with her experience in sales when she was younger, Mélanie Charmes dreamed of having her own store. It’s now done.

Open since Thursday April 25, the business offers many local cheeses. The shop also has a wide variety of grocery products, ranging from rillettes to chestnuts and pasta. The manager’s objective? Work as much as possible with local producers. “I sell products that come from Beynat, Monceaux-sur-Dordogne, or even Donzenac,” says Mélanie Charmes. The short circuit is my priority. »

Sales even before the store opens

It took a lot of work up front, since Corrézienne has been setting up her project for almost a year and a half. “The nights were short, it took a lot of effort but I am satisfied with the result,” she rejoices. Even before the opening, the manager of Délices de Mel indicates that many curious people stopped in front of the store. “A few days before officially opening, I had already made several sales,” she says.

An opening of two businesses which will perhaps make other project leaders want to get started.
