A very broad coalition of Senegalese civil society met on Saturday April 27 Dakar to organize the delivery of the Good Governance Pact to the new President Diomaye Faye, promote it and, if necessary, support the President of the Republic in implementing it. work of the said Pact. On the sidelines of this meeting, Mamadou Ndoye answered questions from AfricaGlobe Tv. Watch the video.

It is now over in . A President of the Republic can no longer blow hot and cold by almost openly taunting the people. Senegalese civil society has decided to stand up as one man to play the role of watchdog for democracy and good governance.

To this end, she decided to promote the Good Governance Pact which she had the 17 participants in the presidential election, including President-elect Diomaye Faye, sign. Once the former tax and estate inspector who became Head of State has signed this document, it is no longer up to him to say whether he must respect it or not. He should comply with it without any hesitation.
All things considered, the progressive forces want at all costs to bring this document to bear, which ultimately only has the aim of organizing the Senegalese people to live together.

Although this pact of good governance is in no way binding, the strategy adopted by civil society as a whole will more or less force President Faye to enforce this pact at the risk of finding the same people who brought him to office supreme on its path in the months to come.
This, especially since the initiators of this Pact want to mobilize all the vital forces of the nation through a major communications campaign to play this sentinel role.

If former President Macky Sall had practically cheated the people by not doing much with the conclusions of the Conference and the report of the National for Institutional Reforms (CNRI), the Senegalese people have no intention of giving the neither Diomaye nor any other future president has the opportunity to repeat this game. Recess is over now and civil society is taking the lead in awareness and mobilization.
