Buckwheat flour from the JP Cloteau brand
Sold in several stores in Brittany, between 1er March and April 26, 2024, buckwheat flour from JP Cloteau is subject to a consumer recall because the packages are suspected of being contaminated with tropane alkaloids. These toxins come from datura, a plant “the consumption of which may cause symptoms similar to those of acute atropine poisoning”, specifies the Ministry of Agriculture on its website. The risks are to develop the following: “dry mouth, dilated pupils, visual disturbances, tachycardia, agitation, confusion, spatio-temporal disorientation, hallucinations, incoherent speech”, specifies the government website Consumption reminder.

Grated 3 Netto brand cheeses
Listeria monocytogenes bacteria was detected in packets of Netto brand grated cheese, containing maasdam, emmental and mozzarella, sold between April 14 and 24. The product is subject to a recall. The departments where these packages were sold are as follows: Aisne, Ardennes, Aube, Côtes-d’Armor, Finistère, Gironde, Ille-et-Vilaine, Landes, Loire-Atlantique, Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Morbihan, Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Somme.
In case of fever, people who have consumed this cheese “are invited to consult their attending physician by reporting this consumption”, explains the Consumer Reminder website. He also specifies that “serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur” and “Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.”
Travidal brand pork sausages
A labeling error was noted on packets of Travidal brand pork sausages, sold in stores in Île-de-France since April 24. An allergen present in the products not having been mentioned, they are subject to a recall. The precise list of stores where these sausages were sold is available in this document.
The government Consumer Recall website recommends “people allergic to milk who have these products not to consume them and destroy them, or to request reimbursement from the point of sale”.
Spinach from the Carrefour classic brand
Pieces of glass may be present in jars of Carrefour classic brand spinach, sold in Carrefour stores throughout France, between February 8 and April 24. The batch concerned is as follows: LT144 timestamp between 21:37 and 22:11.
“Due to the risk of injury and adverse effects after ingestion of this product, as a precaution it is recommended that people who have products belonging to the lot(s) described above not consume them,” underlines the Consumer Reminder site.
