Charlotte Escudero. – Lots of disappointment. Afterwards, we keep this defeat in mind for our next deadlines. We didn’t foil, it comes down to small details but we remain motivated.
The gap between you and the English is still very big…
Yes, but as I said, we didn’t do anything wrong. We knew how to come back when we needed to, even if in the end we see time passing. The gap is large, certainly, but it does not reflect, I think, the game that we were able to offer. We are still satisfied.
How did you get motivated after the red card?
We were determined because we really wanted to lift the trophy. We tightened up, we motivated ourselves.
Can you tell us about this craze?
It was exceptional here in Chaban-Delmas. We had the support of the public. The fans pushed us to do better and do more.
Did you feel this warm atmosphere on the pitch?
When you’re in the heat of the action with adrenaline, you don’t necessarily hear. But when it’s the friends who make the audience roar, it makes you want to do more. It’s catchy.
Despite the 40 points you received, you seem to have a positive attitude…
Of course there is disappointment with so many points conceded at home. But we are satisfied with ourselves and our game. We were not able to bounce back at certain moments and show determination.
