Job Description
Reporting to the general management, the marketing and partnerships director will be responsible for designing, planning and directing marketing and communication actions, optimizing the positioning of Carrefour and contributing to its development.

More specifically, the Marketing and Partnerships Department is responsible for:

  • To define the annual objectives of the department;
  • To develop marketing and promotion plans;
  • To contribute to the realization of the strategic orientations of the festival and its development objectives;
  • To manage the marketing and communications budget
  • To act as a department leader in order to supervise, mobilize and develop his team;
  • To define target audiences and develop strategies to reach them;
  • Develop and implement actions promoting the quality of the customer experience;
  • To plan media events, launches and corporate activities;
  • To initiate, develop and maintain sponsorship and philanthropy partnerships;
  • To design and carry out fundraising activities, campaigns and other fundraising actions;
  • To promote the Carrefour brand image among customers, partners and the general public;
  • To produce analyses and reports on attendance and sales;
  • To stay up to date with knowledge of the cultural ecosystem and its challenges.

Every spring, the Carrefour international de théâtre presents an exhilarating festival in Quebec City. It offers the best of theatre and performing arts to diverse audiences. A major celebration of contemporary artistic creation, it creates opportunities for discovery, exchange and expression for audiences and artists. The Carrefour is the producer of the great traveling show Where do you go when you sleep walk…? which attracts nearly 100,000 people each year. The year 2025 will also be the occasion to celebrate the 25th edition of the festival.

The person sought to fill the position of Marketing and Partnerships Manager at Carrefour international de théâtre is enthusiastic, results-oriented and motivated by the development of strategic alliances and partnerships. He or she demonstrates leadership within the organization and in its relationships with partners, suppliers and collaborators. His or her experience, knowledge, creative spirit and management skills allow him or her to innovate and act effectively.

  • University level training in marketing;
  • Relevant experience in a comparable position;
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills;
  • Mastery of digital marketing strategies and tools (social media, Google ads, SEO, Google Analytics 4, etc.);
  • Have experience in events, show sales or ticketing;
  • Agility in using different platforms and software;
  • Excellent ability to communicate in French (oral and written);
  • Excellent ability to work in a team and with the public;
  • Good ability to communicate in English (oral and written);
  • Desire to progress and develop with the organization;
  • Interest in the cultural and artistic environment;
  • Be domiciled in Quebec and hold a valid work permit in Canada.
