More than a hundred pilgrims from the diocese of Metz, accompanied by 9 deacons and priests, participated in the traditional Octave pilgrimage to Notre-Dame de Luxembourg.
It was Father Olivier Riboulot, vicar general, who represented Mgr Philippe Ballot, himself on a pilgrimage to Lourdes with the young people of the diocese. It was with fervor that the Moselle pilgrims invoked Our Lady of Perpetual Help, so that she might intercede with her Son.
With a particular intention, the faithful prayed for the salvation of the souls of Mgr Pierre Raffin and Canon Raymond Poirson, formerly both faithful pilgrims of the Octave.
Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg, was present during the Eucharist and encouraged pilgrims to always invoke Mary, the Mother of the Church. After lunch, the office of Vespers and the salutation to the Blessed Sacrament closed this beautiful and prayerful day.
Appointment has already been made, the Monday after the 4th Sunday of Easter 2025, to experience the 400th anniversary of the Octave!
