“It could have been dramatic”: in Ille-et-Vilaine, he hits a vehicle of Diro agents

It was around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, when the accident occurred. While agents from the Interdepartmental Directorate of Western Roads (Diro) were evacuating a dead wild boar on the RN12, near Pacé, a motorist violently hit their vehicle.

The impact was very impressive but fortunately no one was injured. The three officers were, however, extremely shocked. “One of them had just gotten out of the van when, fortunately, he had the reflex to jump over the safety barriers,” said the Diro. “It could have been dramatic! Without vigilance, a second of inattention is enough to ruin a life!”

Since the beginning of the year, thirteen vehicles from the Western Interdepartmental Roads Directorate have been involved in traffic accidents. “When you see an intervention truck, move aside!” advises the Diro. “We all have a role to play in ensuring the safety of our agents on the ground. These women and men are there to ensure your safety.”
