From April 13 to 20, 2024, the French youth athletic strength championships, organized by the French Strength Federation, take place in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis). This sport has three disciplines: the squat, the bench press and the deadlift. Two Caudanais participated.
Téo Cren, 17, won the bronze medal of the championship on Tuesday April 16, 2024. He is therefore third in France in his category (subjunior – 59 kg) with a total weight lifted of 457.5 kg. Téo has been practicing athletic strength for ten months. “He started in another room before registering with me in November. It was his third competition, after a place as champion of Brittany and a grand prize,” explains Matéo Constant, his sports coach.
755 kg for Matéo!
Matéo Constant, 22, also finished in third place in his category (junior – 105 kg) with a total weight of 755 kg. Matéo is the manager of the private gym in the Caudan shopping center, Fremen Studio, open on July 31, 2023. “I have been practicing since 2017. I will participate, in December, in the French seniors championship,” explains Matéo Constant.
