A man fell to his death from an apartment in the 13th arrondissement. A woman was arrested on the evening of Monday, September 9. The forty-year-old woman is still in police custody on Tuesday, September 10.

A woman was taken into custody on Monday, September 9, after a man fell to his death from the window of an apartment on the 5th floor, according to information from BFMTV, confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office. As of Tuesday, September 10, her hearing is still ongoing.

The incident took place in a building on Rue Darmesteter, located near Boulevard Masséna, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. According to BFMTV, around 7 p.m., local residents saw the body of a man below a building, in an interior courtyard, located at number 4 of this street. Quickly rescued, the victim finally succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation opened

Alerted to the facts, police officers from the 13th arrondissement police station were informed that a woman, who was in the home from which this defenestration took place, quickly fled.

This suspect, aged 47, “occupant of an apartment whose window was open vertically, presented herself at the police station and was taken into custody at 9 p.m.”, specifies the Paris prosecutor’s office.

A murder investigation has been opened and the investigations have been entrusted to the 3rd judicial police district.
